Philips Bluetooth Fingerprint Touchscreen Smart Deadbolt

I got this smart lock for my mom's door to the backyard. She wanted something secure, and since the door was in the back of the house, she was OK with an electronic lock to make her life a bit easier. This way, she does not need to fumble through her bag to find the keys to unlock the door after work; she can use her fingerprint or the code if it is too cold outside to take her gloves off.She really likes the "smart" features of this lock. Since I've installed it, she has found the app convenient for letting people into the house when she is not there. She can also quickly double-check that the door is locked, giving her even more peace of mind when she leaves the dogs at home during the workday. The installation was straightforward, and the application connectivity was excellent. While I would not consider this a "high security" lock, it is a fantastic option for people looking for a lower security lock to secure a room in your house or a garage door.

We have this lock on our basement door & we really love it. We have never had such a futuristic lock before until now. We decided to put it on our basement door to see how we liked it. And it's safe to say we will be ordering one for our front door now also! My wife loves the ease of access it provides for her when she has the kids or groceries or whatever the case may be.All in all we we would recommend.

The lock looks nice and it works well. It does seem to die relatively quickly. The fingerprint portion is nice as it makes it so that I do not have to fumble with my keys. It feels sturdy and it helps keep the house secure.

So I got this Philips smart lock to replace a Kwikset smart lock. The old one worked, but the battery life was so abysmally short that I decided to replace the lock instead of constantly replacing batteries. When I received my Philips lock, I discovered that out of the box the unit was broken - the fingerprint scanner part was detached and just hanging on by a wire. Kudos to Philips: I emailed them and they promptly shipped me a new replacement lock (and I didn't have to send the defective one back).Installation was pretty straightforward, very similar to any other smart deadbolt. The Philips unit actually took a tad more work because you have to attach a small sensor, which senses when the door is opened and closed, to the door frame. It you have a standard sized door/lock hole, it's not hard to install.The lock works well. It's easy to set up you pin codes and fingerprints for different users. I find the Philips app to be really simple and effective to navigate. I like that the keypad lights up for easy use even at night without lighting. The fingerprint reader works as it should, and the lock is versatile since you have code, fingerprint, or keyed entry.One feature the Kwikset lock had that I miss with this one is the ability to re-key the lock - I was able to fit the old one to my existing doorknob key. But I'd rather carry around a 2nd key instead of finding the lock's batteries dead every few weeks. I haven't really gotten a sense on the battery life with this lock yet, but I'll give Philips the benefit of the doubt and assume it can't be as bad as the Kwikset. I'm a few weeks in and it's still working without issue. I'll update my review if the battery life proves to be an issue with this one. This lock does have the advantage of the fingerprint reader that the Kwikset did not.Overall, this is a versatile lock with a simple and effective app and I'm enjoying it.

This is a great smart lock option. It is very easy to install. You do want to make sure you check measurements of your door against the recommended sizes, but this should fit most standard doors. The unit runs off of AA batteries. Battery life is better than expected even with frequent use. What I really like is that there is the manual key option in case of battery failure or if your phone dies. I don't use the fingerprint, so cannot speak for its function, but the app works well. It is easy to navigate, and I love being able to unlock remotely. You can create unique codes for different people or even one time codes. Overall, I've been really pleased with the lock.
